Admissions and enrolment

How people come into the system — for a high school and for a college.

Three stages

  1. The application. A public page for your school, with the form your school actually uses. Families apply from any phone or computer; no account is needed to apply.
  2. The decision. Applications land in a queue for the office. Accept, reject, or ask for more. An accepted applicant becomes a student in one press — with a school-issued username the family is told.
  3. Enrolment. The student (or their family) completes the record once signed in: date of birth, address, guardian, previous school, documents.

Provisional admission

Documents are optional at the point of admission, on purpose. A student whose birth certificate is in another county should not lose a place over it. The record says which documents are still owed; the office sees who is missing what; the student is in class on Monday.

Colleges

For tertiary schools the same three stages apply, and then:

  • A degree plan the student can keep — the courses their programme requires, term by term.
  • Registration windows the college opens and closes. Registration checks the four things that matter: the course is offered this term, the student is eligible, there is a seat, and it does not clash with something they already hold.
  • Seats are real. Two students cannot take the last seat.
  • The timetable follows from registration and is on the student's own device, offline.

Guardians

A parent or guardian can have their own account, seeing their own children's attendance, marks and fees — nothing else. This is a plan feature; see plans and billing.

Bulk import

An existing school does not type a thousand students. A roster as a spreadsheet — CSV or Excel — is imported with a preview, column by column, and names like "Karpeh, Abraham Jr." stay one name.
