Plans and billing

A flat price for your enrolment band, per school term, in US dollars.

Why it is priced this way

  • By the school, not the student. Per-student pricing would give the registrar a reason not to enter a student and the principal a reason not to remove a leaver — and the roster would stop being true. A band gives per-student fairness with a predictable bill.
  • Per term, not per month. Schools collect fees at the start of a term and budget termly. A monthly invoice to a school that receives money three times a year is late three-quarters of the time. Billing on the school's own calendar is the difference between being paid and chasing.

Free on every plan, for ever

Attendance, courses and materials, assignments and submissions, the gradebook, quizzes, notices and the inbox, the calendar, the in-app guide — and working offline. Offline is the core promise; it is never something you pay extra for.

The current plans, with what each includes, are on the home page. They are quoted live from the same catalogue the app uses.

Texts to parents

A plan includes a number of text messages per calendar month — deliberately not per term, so a term's worth of messages cannot be sent in the first week. When they run out:

  • Top-ups. Buy a block of messages. Bought messages never expire and carry over.
  • Overage. Optionally, let the school keep sending past its allowance up to a ceiling the school itself sets. Off by default.

Messages are counted the way carriers count them, and the school sees the count before pressing send. A text never carries a mark — it says that a result exists.

The free trial

Every paid plan comes with a free trial. Pick the plan, and your school runs on it — every feature on, with that plan's real limits — for a fixed period, with no card and no commitment. The trial also includes a small one-time allowance of text messages: enough to prove the feature to yourself, not enough to run a term on.

If you stay, you choose a plan. If we have not heard from you within a short grace period after the trial ends, the school moves to the free plan by itself — the date is shown on your plan page from the day the trial ends, and nothing is deleted. Your registers and marks are still there when you come back.

Changing plan

  • Upgrading mid-term charges only the difference for the rest of the term and keeps your renewal date, so the plan and the school calendar never drift apart.
  • Downgrading takes effect at the end of the paid period. No refund, nothing lost: a school past the smaller plan's limits keeps its records and simply cannot add past the cap.
  • Outgrowing a band is not a surprise: the plan panel shows how close you are, in students, in files and in messages.

Paying

Bank transfer or mobile money, once a term. There is no card on file and no automatic charge. Payment instructions are shown on the school's own plan page; when the money lands, a person confirms it and the plan moves.

Late

A school that has not paid by its renewal date is told so, plainly, and keeps working through a grace period. Nothing is deleted. If the school does stop, its records are kept and it can come back.
